Welcome to NetworkE9.

We invite experts in many fields to share pertinent insights, facts, and observations about new media. More specifically, we are interested in how new media is shaping online communities, social media, web applications, and casual games. Our contributors include developers, accomplished artists, expert marketers, ambitious entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, and visionaries of all sorts. NetworkE9 is maintained by StudioE9.

“…and what does E9 mean?

“E9″ is our physical address. StudioE9 is located in Tribeca, Manhattan: a few blocks from City Hall, Chinatown, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratories Mars Rover Control Center.

The mathematical constant e is found in many formulas describing nonlinear growth (including the exponential growth of online communities).

Symmetry conveys harmonious community or aesthetically-pleasing proportionality and balance.

… and this is just the beginning! Our incidental address has evolved to mean many things. Like all communities we are, ultimately, surrounded by and in negotiation with everything.
